16th Street Early April Update

Phase 2 of the 16th Street Corridor Enhancement Project is now 85% complete! Work is progressing well, with crews focused on the remaining vertical elements, plantings, and irrigation. 16th Street remains open in both directions.

⚠ Upcoming Lane Closures — Please Plan Ahead

Temporary lane closures are coming to 16th Street over the next two weeks:

Next Week — Permanent Striping Installation

  • Eastbound lanes closed: Monday & Tuesday
  • Westbound lanes closed: Wednesday & Thursday

The Following Week — Light Pole Installation

  • One-day closures in each direction (specific dates to be announced)

We appreciate your patience during these brief closures as we put the finishing touches on this project!

16th Street Alley — Now Complete!

The 16th Street Alley is fully open. Improvements include new concrete pavement, a culvert over Ditch #3, fencing, and a repaved south parking lot — adding convenient parking for residents and businesses along the corridor.
