The playground at Josephine B. Jones Park (2631 52nd Avenue Court) will be upgraded in 2023 to better serve the surrounding neighborhood's needs. The primary goal of this project is to build a new playground that fosters experience, growth, fun, and engagement for visitors.

Thank you to everyone that completed the playground survey and provided their ideas for a new playground at Josephine B. Jones Park. The survey is now closed.


What work will be done and where?

  • The City will remove the existing playground equipment and upgrade it with newer, innovative, and more accessible play features.
  • Crews will expand the existing playground footprint and add new equipment for all ages and abilities.
  • Crews will replace the playground safety surfacing.

Construction will be limited to the playground area. Other sidewalks, paths, and open spaces in the park will not be affected.
